Yin Yoga targets the deep tissue and layers of the body & cells that can only be reached through longer, gentle holds applying pressure not only to the physical body but the energetic pathways - the meridiens.
Yin was developed combining Taoist methodology & Martial Arts with Yoga Therapy to clear obstacles in the meridiens, allowing Chi or Prana to move more freely. The passive stretches allow the body to unfold gently & safely relaxing the nervous system whilst encouraging states of patience & resilience.
