Spring Equinox Ceremony - Movement & Meditation

Since the Winter Solstice in December the light has slowly been growing, though there’s still more darkness than light. On Sunday 20th March we have Spring Equinox and experience an equal balance - day & night, light & dark and a turning point of leaning toward the sun again.

There’s a certain duality in life that we all signed up to experience. We need to experience the dark so we can fully understand the light, and just the same we need to experience the light so we can fully understand the dark. We see that one only exists because of the other. It teaches us to take the good with the bad as we recognise balance will always be restored.

In Spring, as the darkness begins to diminish the light begins to build inside us. A lifting of the fog, coming out of the slumber of winter, you may feel more creative, imaginative, motivated, energised.

As humans we are creatures of seasonality and attuned to cycles - of nature and the Earth itself, phases of the moon, ways of animals. Though most of us don’t realise how our internal states are influenced by the energies at play. The more harmonious we become with these cycles, the more balanced we feel as a whole.

Since the beginning of time, our ancestors have marked this day with celebration and honouring.

The Shamanic wheel represents the four directions - North, East, South, West and the corresponding elements, seasons, animal archetypes and symbolism. Through acknowledging and asking them for guidance, we align ourselves with the divine, cyclical rhythm of nature.

Join me on Sunday 20th March for a ceremony of movement and meditation, ritual and celebration to release heaviness of winter and set new intentions to become more aligned with your purpose and develop trust in your internal guidance.

All welcome, however be aware there will be a dynamic flow to move /create energy followed by a longer yin sequence to stretch deeper tissues and surrender inwards.

Also including yoga nidra (Sanskrit for yogic sleep) a gentle yet deep relaxation meditation with restorative properties.
